Quick answer
Revive Therapy A.C Cleanser is a 150 mL cream-foam cleanser formulated with 0.5% salicylic acid (BHA) for deep cleansing and exfoliation, plus AHA and PHA. It’s mildly alkaline by design — a deliberate choice for skin that breaks out, where thorough removal of oil and dead skin cells matters more than a low pH. This is a cosmetic cleanser, not an acne drug, and it is not formulated to alter the structure or function of skin.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
What is Revive Therapy A.C Cleanser?
It’s the first step of the Revive Therapy routine — a foaming cleanser made for oily, acne-prone skin that still needs a comfortable finish. Most low-pH cleansers protect the skin’s acid mantle but sacrifice cleansing power. This one takes the opposite approach: a mildly alkaline base that clears oil and dead skin cells more thoroughly, paired with a 4-step acid complex (fatty-acid cleansing base, 0.5% salicylic acid, AHA, PHA) and skin-conditioning ingredients like ceramides, cholesterol, and dexpanthenol to keep the wash from feeling stripped.

Deep-cleansing acid complex
A 4-step acid sequence — a fatty-acid cleansing base, then 0.5% salicylic acid (BHA), glycolic and lactic acid (AHA), and gluconolactone (PHA) — for deep cleansing and exfoliation.
A deliberate design choice
Rather than a low-pH formula, this cleanser is mildly alkaline on purpose: for skin that breaks out, clearing oil and dead skin cells thoroughly matters more than a low pH, and comfort is handled separately by ceramides and dexpanthenol.
Barrier-conditioning complex
Ceramides NP, NS, EOP, and AP with cholesterol, plus dexpanthenol and hyaluronic acid, help the skin feel comfortable rather than tight after rinsing.
Centella complex
Centella asiatica extract alongside madecassoside, madecassic acid, asiaticoside, and asiatic acid, plus a tannin complex from persimmon leaf, grape, coffee bean, and chestnut shell (Korean patent 10-0955389).
03How to use+
Wet your face with lukewarm water.
Pump a cherry-sized amount into your palms and work it into a foam, or use a foaming net for a richer lather.
Massage over your face for 30–60 seconds, focusing on the T-zone and other oily areas.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and follow with Revive Therapy N.F Toner.
Avoid the eye area. Contains fragrance, including the allergens linalool and limonene — check the full ingredient list if you have known fragrance sensitivities. If redness, swelling or itching occurs, stop using and consult a dermatologist.
04FAQ+
It’s mildly alkaline rather than low-pH, so it cleanses more thoroughly than a gentle low-pH cleanser. Ceramides, cholesterol, and dexpanthenol are included to keep the finish comfortable. If your skin feels tight or irritated after use, cut back to once a day or every other day and follow with a moisturizer.
Yes. Unlike the N.F Ampoule and N.F Cream in this line, the cleanser contains fragrance, including the allergens linalool and limonene — see the full ingredient list on the product label.
It’s formulated for oily, acne-prone skin, with an acid complex designed for deep cleansing and exfoliation. It’s a cosmetic cleanser, not a drug, so if breakouts are painful or persistent, see a dermatologist.
Low-pH cleansers protect the skin’s acid mantle but generally clean less thoroughly. This formula chooses a mildly alkaline base for stronger removal of oil and dead skin cells, then relies on ceramides and dexpanthenol — not a lower pH — to keep the finish from feeling tight.
A cherry-sized amount is enough for a full face. Adjust up slightly if you’re removing heavier sunscreen or makeup residue.
05About the evidence+
Ingredient studies vs. finished-product studies
Some of the numbers below come from testing on the finished cleanser; others come from testing on a raw ingredient before it was formulated into the product. We label each one so you know exactly what was measured.
Sebum reduction (ingredient study)
In a study on the tannin complex ingredient conducted by Ellead Co., Ltd. (report EL-170223160I044-03, July 21–September 1, 2017; 22 enrolled / 20 completed, average age 36.60±10.23, female), sebum on the forehead decreased in 100% of participants after 4 weeks of daily application, with a 60.540% average reduction from baseline. No adverse reactions were reported.
*Study conducted on the raw ingredient, not the finished product.
Irritation patch test (finished product)
The finished cleanser was irritation patch-tested in a 24-hour closed-patch study by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences (report KDRI-2019-052-F2, tested February 19–22, 2019, 30 adult subjects), which found the product to be a low-irritation material.
06Who it’s for+
Made for oily and acne-prone skin that needs real cleansing power, not just a gentle rinse. If your skin gets shiny by midday or leaves makeup and sunscreen sitting on the surface after a low-pH cleanser, this formula is built to clear that residue while still finishing comfortably thanks to its ceramide and dexpanthenol content.
