Ingredient studies vs. finished-product studies
The sebum data below was measured on the Phytopeptide-1 ingredient before it went into this ampoule, not on the finished product. The patch test, by contrast, was run on the finished ampoule itself. We label each accordingly.
Sebum reduction (ingredient study)
In a study on the Phytopeptide-1 ingredient conducted by Ellead Co., Ltd. (report EL-170223160I044-02, July 21–September 1, 2017; 22 enrolled / 22 completed, average age 40.95±10.64, female), forehead sebum decreased in 100% of participants after 4 weeks, with a 64.454% average reduction from baseline (p<0.05). No adverse reactions were reported, as assessed by a dermatologist.

On the full ingredient list, this rice-derived PDRN appears as Sodium DNA — the same INCI name used for PDRN from any plant source, so the label alone won’t tell you where it came from. Ours is derived from rice grown in Icheon, Korea, using the PhytoPDRN® process, which the supplier states avoids animal-derived materials and the chemical solvents typically used in PDRN purification. It’s used at a formulation concentration of 0.1%, alongside the Blue Complex (0.5%) and Phytopeptide-1 (0.1%) — the actual concentration of each active compound within those blends is very small, as is typical for concept ingredients like these.
